This captivating project exudes majestic charm, as its inspiration derives from the staircase design within a building constructed in 1913 at Kongens Have, the Royal Garden in Copenhagen. This is where the showroom of &tradition is situated—an institution synonymous with interior design excellence. We brought this staircase back to life in a heritage-listed building located in the prestigious Hamburg neighborhood of Harvestehude. The bright and harmonious color palette effortlessly conveys Danish maritime flair, transporting it directly from the heart of Denmark’s capital to the western banks of Hamburg’s Alster Lake. Once again, we upheld the tradition of craftsmanship, meticulously hand-carving or intricately milling the balustrade, replete with its numerous three-dimensional details. Now, not only does a harbor connect Copenhagen and Hamburg, but also this exclusive wooden staircase.
